Email to William Wragg (MP) regarding Simon Mann 17/09/19

To: WRAGG, William <>

Dear William,

continuing on from my previous emails on 5G.

Apologies for the following repetition but the reason will become clear as you read through the email:

The EMF Call

‘.. we ask the United Nations, the World Health Organization and all governments not to accept the ICNIRP guidelines. They are not protective, rather they pose a serious risk to human health and the environment since they allow harmful exposure to the world population, including the most vulnerable, under the unscientific pretext that they are “protective” ‘.

Dr Susan Pocket

‘The unchecked expansion of Big Wireless permitted by ICNIRP’s thermal-only guidelines is actively harmful to all biological inhabitants of planet Earth. Further expansion to 5G technology will inevitably involve yet more radiation exposure. The fact that this exposure will not breach the ludicrously high ICNIRP-based standard is no defense at all.’

‘It is time to stop believing ICNIRP spin. Tissue heating is not the only biological effect of radiofrequency radiation. The thermal-only exposure limit is not safe.’

Dr Sarah Starkey

‘The scientists responsible for the inaccurate AGNIR report who are employed by PHE or the Department of Health (DH) continue in their roles and still advise on the safety of wireless signals. In my view, the evidence points to these employees having broken their employment Code of Conduct and they should be removed from their roles.’

‘Accurate information about the safety of wireless technologies cannot be disseminated or accessed whilst the scientists responsible in the DH, PHE or its advisory bodies produce, promote and base advice on inaccurate and factually incorrect information. Conflicts of interest associated with membership of ICNIRP need to be addressed. Current advice is not evidence based and the public have been let down by misinformation and a lack of precautionary actions.’

Simon Mann

Several weeks ago, I emailed you a response to the letter Seema Kennedy has sent out regarding 5G health concerns. The letter’s hollow reassurances are reiterated, and sourced, in the following Bristol Post article ( :

‘But Public Health England (PHE) says it does not expect 5G to impact on people’s health. Its head of radiation dosimetry Simon Mann said: “It is possible that there may be a small increase in overall exposure to radio waves when 5G is added to an existing telecommunications network or in a new area. However, the overall exposure is expected to remain low relative to guidelines and as such there should be no consequences for public health.” (As I wrote in my email, these statements seriously belie the truth.)

A PHE spokesman added the body is committed to making sure 5G radio waves comply with International Committee on Non-Ionising Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) guidelines.’

Dr Simon Mann, Head of Physical Dosimetry Department, Public Health England

Simon Mann, member of ICNIRP; Secretary of AGNIR (disbanded 2017)

‘Simon Mann heads the Physical Dosimetry Department at Public Health England’s Centre for Radiation, Chemical and Environmental Hazards, and is responsible for programmes of scientific work to develop health-related advice on exposures to electromagnetic fields (EMFs) and optical radiation across the UK. …   he is (was) Secretary to the independent Advisory Group on Non-ionising Radiation (AGNIR), which prepares reviews of the biological effects of NIR and advises on research priorities... Simon was  appointed as a member of the ICNIRP Scientific Expert Group (SEG) in January 2015.’

‘Those in authority

I would ask you to pause for a moment, and think about how Parliamentary minds are responding, or not responding, to the considerable amount of credible and verifiable information I’m sending regarding the serious risks 5G poses to the British population. Now I ask you to ponder on what Carl Sagan wrote in his book, The Demon Haunted World, replacing ‘America’ with ‘England’: ‘I have a foreboding of an America in my children’s or grandchildren’s time … when awesome technological powers are in the hands of a very few, and no one representing the public interest can even grasp the issues; when the people have lost the ability to set their own agendas or knowledgeably question those in authority… ‘

With very best wishes,
